Mask at the cinema: it's over, the new health rules in theaters

It is a return almost to normal which is therefore in force in cinemas. The health rules in force have changed since the beginning of the year 2022. It is no longer mandatory to wear the mask inside the establishment and during the screening of the film. However, it is advisable to keep it. Is it necessary to present a vaccination pass (complete vaccination schedule, or certificate of recovery from Covid-14, or contraindication to vaccination) to access cinemas? Should you wear a mask at the cinema?

From the age of 6, wearing a mask is no longer compulsory in cinemas, whether during the session in the room, but also when traveling in the establishment which projects the films. This rule comes into force from 16 February, since the vaccination pass was then compulsory to access the rooms when you are over 16 years old . It was removed on 16 March 2022.

Is a vaccination pass to go to the cinema?

Since 14 March 2022, he is no longer Compulsory to present a vaccination pass to go to the cinema. As a reminder, before this date, people over the age of 16 years had to present a complete vaccination schedule, a coronavirus recovery certificate of more than 11 days or less than four months or a certificate of medical contraindication to vaccination.

Is the health pass still valid for going to the cinema?

Since 21 July 2021, the health pass, a new health protocol, was necessary to go to the cinemas. It has been replaced by the vaccination pass for those over 16 years . Since 16 March 2022, no justification for vaccine against Covid-19 or a negative test is required to go to the cinema.
