The Temecula Valley Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce the 2010 Board of Directors. Ballots were sent to the Chamber membership in October resulting in the election of seven incumbents and three new directors to serve a three-year term.

The combined knowledge, skills and experience of the board of directors will be of critical value as they lead the TVCC forward. The TVCC Board will continue to create programs, such as Shop Temecula First, which support our local businesses and the community at large. Legislative advocacy remains a key focus, urging all members to be aware of legislative issues and take action by responding to E-Alerts. Under the leadership of the 2010 Board of Directors, the TVCC will strive to fulfill its potential as the leading chamber in the Inland Empire and present quality programs that will contribute to the success of our members and the business community.

Lisa Herman was elected as President of the Rancho California Water District Board of Directors for the one-year 2010 term. Ms. Herman was first elected to the RCWD Board in September 1991 to fill the remaining two years of a four-year term. Ms. Herman was re-elected in 1993 and 1997, and was subsequently appointed to the Board in 2001 to fill the remaining two years of a four-year term. Ms. Herman was once again re-elected in 2003 and 2007, with her current term expiring in December 2011. Ms. Herman served as Senior Vice President of the Board in 1995, 2001, and 2009, as well as President in 1996 and 2002. Ms. Herman has resided in the Temecula area since 1986. She worked as an in-house regional counsel for Kaiser Development Company and its successors Bedford Development Company and Kemper Development Company until 1996, when she retired.
Lawrence M. Libeu was elected as Senior Vice President for the one year 2010 term. Mr. Libeu was first elected to the RCWD Board of Directors in August 2007 and his term will expire in December 2011. Mr. Libeu has been involved in the water industry for the past twenty-seven years, spending twenty-three years with Eastern Municipal Water District. Mr. Libeu was the General Manager of the San Bernardino Valley Water Conservation District and currently serves as President of the National Water Resources Association. Mr. Libeu has lived in Temecula for 21 years. RCWD congratulates Ms. Herman and Mr. Libeu on their positions.
